On Wednesday, there was a small gathering of photographers from around the university and around the UK who were involved with red eye. This project saw photographers networking and demonstrating new work they are currently working on. the group session saw each individual portraying there recent work and asking for critical feedback on how to present the work with in a exhibition, how the aesthetics of the images look, the position of the images and how you would present them with in folio. The meeting goes on for 2 hours allowing everyone time to present the images and get feedback.
This was the first time I had attend one of these meetings and can say absolutely enjoyed it! I decided to show my most recent work of a microscopic investigation into the body, in which i got some fantastic feedback. The session consists of 6 people (including 2 Lecturers) but it allowed each person to discuss their projects and what they feel could change. The event helped me understand how I could present the work and the different perspectives on the project. Also, i got the chance to look and listen to other photographers in the field and start networking for possible contacts in the future.
