Before traveling for my project, I thought it would be best to book a tutorial with one of the lectures to address some issues I was thinking about. After receiving the award from Hadfield Trust, I began to researching more into what kind of imagery I wanted to take and also how I could portray the stories told to me by the models. To help me prepare for the project, I booked a tutorial with John, to go thought the practice images and talk about the way I can improve my portrait photography.
After a long talk with John we had decided on a couple of aspects I could take with me to improve my confidence and improve my photography. We discussed the possibility of me using a flash-gun for inside photographs and practicing with a couple of shots before meeting the models to ensure my equipment worked correctly. Also looking at how I envisioned the images to turn out, from the way the model stands to the environment they want to be focused in. As well as this, we also booked another tutorial for after I have returned for the project to discuss the images and how we can set them out for the exhibition.
