Today is the first day of the my FMP project! For today's shoot I am travelling to Birmingham to meet my first model Natalie. Natalie was the first model to email me, showing interest int eh project and wanting to be part of it. After talking though email since January we had planned this week to meet up for a day to tell her story and her capability. We arranged to meet in Solihill at 12:30, walking around a local nature reserve to start the photographic series. We walked around the reserve talking about what makes her capable and working together to create the images she wanted to portray her true self. Natalie told me about how she had lost her legs and went into detail about the experience, phantom pain and other symptoms she has suffered. All this information will be placed in a book along side the images to connect the group of a whole.
Natalie was completely opening to telling her story and trying to change the world around drink driving. She was very determined to make her images portray her strength and portray that even though she has a prosthetic shes is just as capable.
